Pearl Humes Peters, age 88, of Cambridge Springs went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Edinboro Manor. Pearl was born on March 26, 1935, in Cambridge Springs, daughter of the late Raymond Humes and Ruth Kelly Humes. On August 31, 1952, she married Delbert Peters, and they enjoyed forty -two years of marriage until his passing on February 4, 1995. Pearl had worked for several years at Penn Union of Edinboro and for over twenty years in the kitchen of the Riverside Inn, Cambridge Springs. She enjoyed playing bingo and browsing garage sales. She attended Draketown Christian Church and had a gift of hospitality opening her home to countless friends and family throughout the years.

     In addition to her husband Delbert Peters, Pearl was preceded in death by her son Robert Peters; great grandson Andrew Weaver; sisters Norma Peters, Genevieve Scarboro, Ethel Sanders, Pauline Pulling, Doris Haines, and Ruth Weigle; and brothers Raymond Humes Jr, Delroy Humes, Gary Humes, Robert Humes, Oscar Humes, Kenneth Humes, and Charles Humes.

     Survivors include daughter Barbara Bradley and her husband Ron of Meadville, son Randall Peters and his wife Joan of Meadville, grandson Scott Peters and his wife Jessica of Cambridge Springs, grandson Thomas Luzier of Meadville, granddaughter Jennifer Peters Luikart of Port Charlotte, Florida, granddaughter Lisa Sivik of Saegertown, grandson Adam Peters of Coshocton, Ohio, granddaughter Brandy Peters of Meadville, grandson Raymond Peters of Meadville, seventeen great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, brother Victor Humes and his wife Linda, four step-grandchildren DuWayne Farrington, Dodie Delosa, Denise Farrington, and David Farrington.

     Friends may call on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Van Matre Funeral Home, from 11 am until the time of funeral service at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Millers Station Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Gentiva Health Care of Meadville and the staff at Edinboro Manor for their care.
