Nancy Jane Crawford Jones, age 64, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Meadville Medical Center, Meadville, PA. Born on June 28, 1948 in Greenville, PA, Nancy was a daughter of the late Howard and Lucille Sutherland Bales. On July 10, 1999 she married - Brother Tony A. Jones whom she met in 1989 and with whom she had a close bond in marriage and love.

Nancy graduated from Meadville High in 1966 and then studied medical technology at Edinboro University. From there she went on to work at American Visco/Avtex in Meadville for 17 years. Nancy then became a self employed florist for 20 years opening McBud of Meadville. It was there where she met Tony Jones who was a delivery driver.

Nancy was a member of St. John Baptist Church of Meadville and was a Hospice volunteer of Crawford County for 7 years together with her husband. Nancy was a talented self-taught seamstress sewing clothes and designing beautiful keep-sake quilts and other gifts for family members and friends. Nancy loved flowers and always kept a beautiful flower garden. Nancy was a blooming flower herself and will be deeply missed by her husband, family and friends. Rest in peace.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents - Howard and Lucille Sutherland Bales. She is survived by her husband - Tony A. Jones; sister - Sally and her husband, George Ball of Cambridge Springs; daughter - Heather Eakin of Union City; and a son - Scott and his wife, Jennifer Crawford of Tampa, Florida. She also leaves behind grand-daughters - Riley Stenehjem, Rhianna Eakin, and Lucille Crawford; a grandson - Reese Eakin; nephews - Jeremy and Jeffrey Ball; a great-nephew - George Ball; a great-niece - Helena Ball; sister-in-law - Angela Jones; and step-daughters - Terra Smith Jones, Whitney Jones Grennaway, Brittany Jones, Antionette Jones; and grandchildren - Debriaonna Jones, Amar McCoy, William Ludwig and Carday Ellis.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 2:30 pm at St. John’s Baptist Church, 792 N. Main St., Meadville, PA.
