Connie Faye Vollentine, age 58, of Waterford, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Abington Crest Nursing Center after an extended illness. Born in Indianapolis, IN on March 10, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Seymour and Wanda Allison Vollentine.
Even though being in ill health for many years, Connie still was able to enjoy her life and make you smile with her sense of humor. She became a caregiver when she helped take care of her mother in her later years, and would babysit her nieces and nephews which earned her the title, “favorite aunt” or “Aunt FeFe”. As a mom herself, she loved her son and was always an active parent at school and a dedicated “soccer mom”. Connie enjoyed bowling, dancing, watching movies, and she especially loved Christmastime and her dog Cosmo.
Survivors in the family include her son, Wesley A. Vollentine of Waterford; nine siblings: Gerry Vollentine and wife Molly of Erie, Bonnie Brunner of Largo, FL, Judy Ferguson and husband Lloyd of Willowhill, IL, Ruth Burlingame and husband Don, and Norman Vollentine and wife Stephanie, all of Waterford, Kenneth Vollentine and wife Jean of Erie, Raymond Vollentine and wife Terri of Waterford, Earl Vollentine and wife Tina of Union City, and Sandy Morrison and husband John of Alburn, GA; a brother-in-law, Bucky Lamp of Ohio; also many nieces and nephews.
