William Edward Estep Jones slipped into the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 22, 2015 after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born December 7, 1937 in Aliquippa, PA to the late William Edward and Dorothy Margaret Estep Jones, and was the stepson of the late Nick Jones. Bill married his long-time soul mate of 48 years, Patricia Press Jones of Erie.
Bill graduated from Fort LeBoeuf High School in 1956 and then served in the United States Army. He retired from Erie Technological Products in Erie.
Those that precede him in death include brothers Ronald, Thomas, and Dale Jones, and sisters Joan Fish, Jean Mosher, and Donna Martin, all from Erie.
He is survived by his wife Pat and two sons, William Edward Jones Jr. and his wife Carol, and Kevin Andrew Jones; a grandson, Brett William Jones and his fianc???e Morgan; his great-grandson and little buddy, Jacob; also, a sister, Gayle Davis and her husband Dewey; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be at Van Matre Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friends are also invited to the funeral service there on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Lewis of Lakewood United Methodist Church officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Waterford Cemetery.
