Charles “Chuck” Gregory Blossey, 61, a resident of the Waterford area, passed away Wednesday morning, November 18, 2015 after an extended illness, surrounded by his loved ones.

Blossey, Charles Born on November 13, 1954 in Erie, Chuck was the son of the late Charles A. Blossey and Irene H. (Waszo) Blossey. After graduating from Fort LeBoeuf High School in 1972, he studied engineering at Penn State Behrend and electronics at the Erie Institute of Technology. From 1976-79 he actively served in the 133rd US Navy Mobile Construction Battalion (Seabees) as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was employed by General Electric in Erie.

Chuck is survived by: his daughter Stephanie (Blossey) Hebert and her husband Joe of Massachusetts; his son Charles B. Blossey of Erie; his son Nicholas Blossey of Waterford; his sister Cheryl (Blossey) Chase and her husband Sterling of Florida; his brother Kevin Blossey and his wife Denise of Waterford; his grandchildren, Maddie and Gabe Hebert; and his niece Kara (Chase) Morgan, and his nephews Chad Chase and Kelyn Blossey.

Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping in the mountains; spending time with his family; and spoiling his grandchildren. His quick wit and bright blue eyes will be greatly missed.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Van Matre Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford on Saturday, November 21st at 1:00 p.m.
