? Martin G. “Marty” Huegel Jr., age 54, of McKean, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at UPMC Hamot from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Erie on January 2, 1963, he is the son of Martin G. Huegel Sr. and Karen Kay Droud Huegel.
In addition to his parents, Marty is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Gnagi Huegel, whom he married in 1992; his children, Morgan Huegel and Cole Huegel; two grandsons, Cooper and Wyatt McClellan; his brother, Derrick Huegel and wife Karen of Waterford; his sister, Tamara Malone and husband James of McKean; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents– Martin and Catherine Huegel, Dallas Droud, and Vernon and Nadine Devigne.
Anyone who knew Marty, knew that he was a good worker who liked to help people, an avid hunter, and a dedicated family man with many friends.
Marty worked for 30 years for Plyler Overhead Door Company in McKean, and over this time period did many jobs all across the area. He liked to meet people and was always willing to stop to lend a helping hand. Marty was a skilled and successful hunter, and every year he had great ambition to get a turkey in the spring and the fall. He loved his twin grandsons, Cooper and Wyatt, and had hoped to one day take them hunting.
Friends are invited to a celebration of Marty’s life on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at their home, 9470 Shadduck Road, McKean.
