Edwin Steven Morrison, 52, of Cambridge Springs passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021, at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center. Ed was born in Erie on November 14, 1968, the son of Edwin R. Morrison and Christina Sawchyn Morrison Alfieri. He graduated from Harborcreek High School with the class of 1987. Ed then joined and served in the United States Navy from 1988 to 1992 aboard the USS Flint and was a veteran of Desert Storm. A graduate of Edinboro University with a degree in secondary education, Ed was a substitute teacher in the Penncrest and Crawford Central School Districts. Currently, he was teaching geography and English at Eagle’s Nest Academy, Erie. Ed enjoyed playing the electric guitar, working on home improvement projects, reading and playing video games.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Ken Morrison.
Survivors include wife, Tracy L. Morrison of Cambridge Springs; father, Edwin R. Morrison and his companion, Doris of Jamestown, PA; mother, Christina Alfieri and her husband Dan of Harborcreek; daughter, Amanda St. Cartier and her fiancé, Jason Morrell of Northeast; son, Matthew Richard Schenberg serving with the US Army in Italy; son, Morgan St. Cartier and his fiancé, Ashley Smith of McKean; daughter, Amberlyn Nicole Morrison of Cambridge Springs; granddaughter, Alivia Joslin and grandson, Conner Schenberg; brother, Bob Morrison and his wife, Jennine of Cornelius, NC; brother, John Morrison and wife, Cassie of Waterford; nieces, Lindsay and Emily; and nephews, Matt and Gage.
Friends are invited to call at the Van Matre Funeral Home, Cambridge Springs on Friday May 28th from 9-11am followed by a funeral service at 11am with pastor Mike Priestap officiating. Interment will follow at Mitchell Cemetery.
