James N. Weary, age 58, of Clymer, NY, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at UPMC Chautauqua, Jamestown, NY. Jim was born in Erie on August 9, 1962 and raised in Waterford, one of six children of the late Charles and Catherine Borges Weary.
Jim was a simple man, warm and loving, who generally had a genuine joy for life. He cherished time spent with his family and friends, and enjoyed hunting and being outdoors, beekeeping, riding his Harley, playing pool, and watching NASCAR. He did many of these things with his best friend and partner of 26 years, Cynthia Louise Olson. They officially married one month before his death.
Jim also worked in commercial roofing for Jamestown Roofing and was known for his skill as a metal worker, completing many copper roofing projects and other architecturally interesting roofs in the area. Jim was very proud to be a member of Roofers Local 210 in Erie.
Those that remain to mourn his passing include his beloved wife, Cynthia Louise Olson Weary; his siblings– Kathleen Kahala (Steve), Tom Weary (JoAnne), Ed Weary (Kelly), Ron Weary (Tammy); and three sisters-in-law, Valerie Hanes (Mark), Loretta Blakeslee (Kyle), and Carol Weary; plus many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A brother, Chuck Weary, preceded him in death.
