Ida Mae Spencer, 87, of Woodcock passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Crawford County Care Center. Ida was born in Geneva, PA on August 16, 1933, the daughter of the late Lawrence Allen Williams and Ione Longberry Williams. Ida was employed for many years in the food service department of Wesbury, retiring in 2000 and was a member of the Gravel Run Presbyterian Church.  She was an excellent cook and baker who will be remembered for her delicious Christmas cookies and elderberry pie that was always requested by her grandchildren at family dinners. 

     Survivors include daughter, Denise Gable and her husband, Jeffrey of Meadville; son, Daniel Spencer, Sr. and his wife, Linda of Woodcock; granddaughter, Beckey Smith and her husband, Joe of Glenshaw, PA; grandson, Eric Gable and his wife, Ashley of Venango; grandson, Daniel Spencer, Jr. and his wife, Carrie of New Castle; grandson, Sean Spencer and his wife, Katy of Cambridge Springs; granddaughter, Tina Spencer and her significant other, Harley Hardin of Cambridge Springs; great granddaughter, Emma Spencer; great grandson, Danny Spencer, III; great grandson, Rylan Spencer; great grandson, Hunter Gable; great granddaughter, Addisyn Spencer; great granddaughter, Lilly Gable; great grandson, Bennett Spencer; sister, Betty Lou Maynard of Linesville; and one niece and two nephews.     

Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home, Cambridge Springs on Monday, July 19, from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm with the Reverend Rose Hilliard of Gravel Run Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be at Lang Swift Cemetery.
