Joseph Henry Nageotte, 60, of Edinboro lost his fight with ALS at his residence on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Joe was born on July 24, 1961, in Meadville the son of the late Robert Frank Nageotte and Lillian Virginia Apple Nageotte. He graduated with the Saegertown High school of 1979. Joe loved planes, trains and automobiles and enjoyed flying RC planes when could. He also loved muscle cars and working on them especially Trans Ams.
He was a wonderful guitar and banjo player and was in various bands. Truck driving was his passion, and he did so in his last job until ALS took over.
He was preceded in death by his brother Robert LeRoy Nageotte and his sister Diane Broadhead.
Survivors include his wife, Shevawn Hillwig Nageotte of Edinboro; brother, Ronald Nageotte and his wife Carol of Lake Tahoe, NV; brother, James R Nageotte and his wife, Sue of Cochranton; brother, Wilfred Nageotte and his wife, Carol of Linesville; Charles T Nageotte and his wife Kathy of Saegertown; stepmother, Mary Lou Nageotte of Meadville; stepdaughter, Monica Skelton and her husband, Brian of Cambridge Springs; stepson, James Hillwig lll and his wife, Sierra; two step-grandchildren, Rose and James lV.
A memorial service will be held at a future date at the Saegertown Community Church. In lieu of flowers and cards, the family wishes to have contributions made to the ALS foundation of Western PA, 416 Lincoln Ave. Pittsburgh Pa. 15209
