Richard Lee Riley, 65, of Saegertown passed away at his residence on September 17, 2021. Richard was born in Meadville on December 28, 1955, the son of Richard James Riley and Martha Louise Sherman Riley. On July 24, 1982, he married Eva Marie Riley and she preceded him in death on October 22, 2014. He graduated from Cambridge Springs High School with the class of 1974 and worked as a truck driver for various trucking companies. For the past thirteen years, he worked as an over-the-road trucker. Richard had been a volunteer with the Venango Volunteer Fire Department, Perry Highway Hose Company, and Wrightstown New Jersey Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, Eva, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, William Clarence Riley.
Survivors include his parents, Richard James Riley and Martha Louise Riley of Saegertown; daughter, Janet Hayes and her wife Meghan of Erie; brother, Ron Riley of Venango; sister, Paula Graham and her husband, Rodger of Meadville; sister, Robin Crum and her husband, David of Venango; one grandson, Anakin William Lee; and Technical Sergeant USAF retired Darrell McCumber and his wife, Jennifer and their daughters, Bethany and Kaitlyn and their son Jonathan of Wrightstown, NJ.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Funeral Home, Cambridge Springs on Wednesday, September 22, from 11 am to 1 pm and are invited to a funeral service to be held there at 1 o’clock.
