Marjorie Ann Ryan, age 76, a longtime resident of Albion, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Edinboro on January 7, 1945, the daughter of the late Kenneth Foy and Thelma Waltz Foy. She married Thomas E. Ryan in 1965 and he preceded her in death in 2014.
A very giving and caring woman, Marjorie loved and cared for her family and served others by working as a nurse for many years. She had worked at Erie Infants Home, Sarah Reed Children’s Center, and Pleasant Ridge Manor. In later years, she worked at Spectrum Control and then Blair Corporation, retiring as a secretary. Marjorie enjoyed many things in life including gardening, flowers, sewing, butterflies and hummingbirds, cooking and baking.
She will be sadly missed by her family members including her four daughters- Maria Kelley and husband Clyde of Lake City, Pamela Ryan of Albion, Cynthia Perkowski and husband David of Waynesboro, PA, and Melissa Wiley and husband Gordon of Albion; also, two grandchildren, Evan Perkowski and Ashley Kelley; and two brothers, Edward Foy and Arthur Foy, both of Edinboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, and her brother Norman Foy.
Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home, 306 Erie Street, Edinboro on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Mike Priestap of McLane Church. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery.
