James Brown, 71, of Union City passed away on January 9, 2022. Jim was born in Ashtabula on November 25, 1950, and was adopted at the age of two by George and Charlotte Brown. Jim graduated with the Cambridge Springs High School class of 1968 and took pride in working his family’s dairy farm where he had grown up. On March 1, 1969, he married Joyce Davenport. Three months after his marriage, he broke his back during a bad windstorm. Although this was an extremely unfortunate accident for one so young, it never held him back. Later in life, Jim worked as trucker, hauling equipment and did anything for anyone who needed his help. He enjoyed restoring old Allis Chalmers tractors and attending the Pioneer Steam & Gas Engine Society show, of which he was a past member.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Brown on July 5, 2021, and parents, George and Charlotte Brown.

Survivors include son, Timothy (Debbie) Brown, Cambridge Springs; daughter, Robyn (Tom) Keith, Cambridge Springs; granddaughters: Tara (Cody) Lippert, Saegertown, Hayley (Devin) Moses, Erie, and Sadie (Andy) Tobin, Edinboro; brother, Ben (Sandy) Brown, Kentucky; and sister, Cindy (Jack) Engels, Union City.

Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home, Cambridge Springs on Sunday, January 16 from 2 to 3 pm until time of memorial service at 3 pm. Memorials may be made to ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511.
