Robert A. Shakespeare, age 82, of Summit Township, passed away quietly at Fairview Manor on Monday, May 29, 2023. He was born March 10, 1941 in Erie to the late Claire and Jane Kingen Shakespeare. Bob graduated from Northwestern High School in Albion and went on to serve in the U.S. Army as a medic. He worked his way up to supervisor at RM Kerners where he worked for 43 years. After retiring, Bob and his wife, Phyllis, traveled the U.S. and Canada, making it all the way to Alaska. They loved spending time with their grandkids, especially taking them camping.

In addition to his parents and step-father Robert Brockway, Bob was preceded in death by his son, William (Bill) John Shakespeare.
Survivors include his wife Phyllis J. (Hill) Shakespeare; four grandkids: Robert Shakespeare, Donald Shakespeare (Deanna), Daniel Shakespeare (Hannah), and Gretchen Shakespeare; five great-grandchildren: Tyler, Linley, Dominick, Connor, and Audrina Shakespeare; his two sisters, Betty Hiles (Bob) and Mary Lou Brenneman (Arlo); a brother, Jack Shakespeare (Nancy); and a dozen nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family service at LeBoeuf Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

I am truely sorry for your loss. I have so many fond memories of our high school days
I know our imprompto visit to your home a few years ago was a shock to you both but
I am so happy we did it and were able to visit with you.
