Kathryn Duran, age 91, died peacefully Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Manchester Commons. She was born in Cranesville, Pa on July 31, 1932 to the late Martin and Susie (Hanas) Duran. She graduated from Albion High School and went on to earn a teaching degree from Edinboro College. Following graduation, she worked both as a teacher and at the Ohio Unemployment Office. She was a member of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Erie.

In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by six sisters: Mildred Duran, Mary Thomas, Helen Willey, Esther Enis, Francis Stanford, Ruth Markovich and brother Paul Duran. She is survived by her brother Martin (Beverly) Duran, sister Susan Heide, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A private funeral will be held for the family at Van Matre Funeral Home in Waterford with burial following at Waterford Cemetery.
