Janet Lynn Hess, age 68, of McKean Township, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away at home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 after a courageous battle
with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Lloyd; her children: Jennifer and Travis Pope, Rachael and Charles Arkwright, and Lloyd Jr. and Heather Hess; her grandchildren: Ryan, Abigail/Jake, Charles Jr., Cassandra, Aaron, Brody, Christopher, James, Jackie; and great-granddaughter Alaina. Janet is also survived by her siblings: Sharon Salhoff, Linda Hess, Debbie Morrison, Audrey Drumond, Kathie Miller, David Miller, Carole Wheeler and Glenda Menier.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Harriet Steele Miller, brother Glenn, and granddaughter Cami.

Janet was known as a kind and lovable person. She loved her family dearly and was always there to listen.

Family and friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home, Waterford on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be there Sunday at 3:00 pm officiated by Pastor Janet Sill of McKean Methodist Church. Private interment will be in Valley Cemetery.
