Shevawn Lyn Hillwig, age 68, of Edinboro passed away unexpectedly, at her residence on Monday, August 11, 2025. Shevawn was born in Allegheny County on August 25, 1956, daughter of the late Beverly Fletcher Perry. For a number of years, she had worked as manager of Kwik Fill in Cambridge Springs. Shevy was an avid animal lover, caring for the wild birds out her front window regularly, had 3 cats whom she adored, and loved visiting her “grand pups”, as she called them. She loved listening to all types of music, especially going to watch her son-in-law’s band play live. She was always everyone else’s caregiver, and wanted to help everybody with everything. She enjoyed talking with everyone, and sharing stories and life experiences. She loved being a mother more than anything, and took any moment she could to express how proud she was of her children and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Nageotte on September 22, 2021, and is survived by her daughter, Monica Skelton and her husband, Brian of Cambridge Springs, and her son, James Hillwig, III and his wife, Sierra and their children Rose and James of Clearfield, PA.

August 13, 2025 at 10:57 amMonica I feel your pain. She was like a second mother to me. She was kind, funny and always seem to know what I was thinking or if I needed to talk. I’m so glad that I got to know her and you. She will so be missed and will not be far from my mind. My heart truly hurts for the loss. She’s no longer in pain and with her love. Give my love to her cats and always here for you.
Kathy
