Jarrett, Donna Lois October 18, 1940 - June 25, 2024

Date of Funeral

June 30, 2024

Donna Lois Jarrett, of Summit Township, died Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at UPMC Hamot. She was 83 years old, born in Waterford on October 18, 1940 to Raymond H. Fisher and Mildred M. Green Fisher. She married Timothy B. Jarrett on March 25, 1967, and he survives.

Donna will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Being married for 57 years, watching her children and grandchildren grow up and participate in many activities, and for years, camping every rainy weekend with her family, all were some of Donna’s most treasured joys in life. And, not to be forgotten, her most important years were spent as a caregiver for her daughter, Cynthia, for 36 years until her death on March 11, 2000.

After graduating from high school, Donna got her first job as a telephone operator. She later worked for Marx Toys, General Electric, and then was a vending attendant for several years before retiring. She enjoyed hobbies like crocheting, sewing, plastic canvas, and crossword puzzles. Whatever Donna did, she would do with a smile and a giggle.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Jarrett, and a grandson, Daniel Shontz.

Surviving family members include her husband, Timothy B. Jarrett; four children- Anthony Jarrett of Erie, Tammy Sipes and husband Douglas of Union City, Tina O’Hara and husband Chris of Plantersville, TX, and Timmy Jarrett and wife Amy of Waterford; eight grandchildren- Justin, Shantel, Tanner, Haily, Kayla, Cody, Alex, and Adam; nine great-grandchildren; and three brothers- Gaylord Fisher and wife Joanne, Don Fisher, and Kenneth Fisher and wife Nancy.

Donna was always such a great and friendly person and long-time neighbor to my parents, my brothers and I. She will be greatly missed. I deeply regret that I cannot attend the services in person on this day but I extend my heartfelt condolences to Tim, their children and the extended family I had the pleasure of meeting over the numerous years of being her neighbor.
