Van Dyke, Una Mae February 26, 1933 - May 27, 2024

Una Mae Van Dyke was born February 26, 1933 to Earnest L. Heard and Helen Hamilton Heard in Waterford, Erie County, PA. She died May 27, 2024 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin (Red) Van Dyke.

Una Mae loved to knit and was interested and active in the Waterford community being involved for many years with the Home Show Building at the Waterford Fair, Grove City Bus Tours as a tour organizer, a facilitator for the Senior Citizens Group and Exercise Class, 55 Alive, Lions Club, Red Hat Society, Weight Watchers, the Salvation Army, the Food Pantry, the Flu Shot Clinic held at Stancliff Hose Company, and Judge of Elections. She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waterford.

Those she leaves behind include Lori Matheis (William), Wendi Hetrick (William), Tamara Myers (Ray), Cheryl Clouser (Steven), Andrea Lundin (Robert, deceased), Brenda Caldwell (Larrie), Doris Messenger, Susan Jordan, and John Williams (Joyce Lowe); 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Services are not planned at this time.

    To Una Mae’s family. She was a great lady who will not be forgotten. I used to come and buy some of her dish cloths, and hot pads. They were great, and lasted forever. I worked with her at the Waterford fair. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Marian and Bill Burge

    Una Mae was a long time volunteer at the Waterford Community Fair, and did an outstanding job running the home arts department. She is remembered fondly. The Waterford Fair Directors express our condolences to her family. Thank you for sharing her with us.
